eShakti Review and Promo Code

I was approached a while back to do a product review of something from eShakti. The website has an interesting customization aspect to it. You can choose the lengths of the clothing such as the hemline and sleeves. I took a look at the website and immediately fell in love with this coat. It was just beautiful! When it arrived I was extremely excited. Unfortunately  I was a bit disappointed at first touch. It was a very thing cotton material and would not work well as a winter coat. When I tried it on I was disappointed with the sleeve lengths; they were just a tad to short. Another thing I didn't like were how the bows on the sleeves were kind of floppy and not attached securely to the coat. Overall, it's a cute "coat" but I wasn't blown away. Though it wasn't winter coat material, I'm sure it would make a nice spring coat! eShakti is more known for their dresses so perhaps those are better.

Their spring collection recently came out! If you use BLEVNTST from now until March 10, 2013, you will receive 20% off your order! (I would recommend a dress or a skirt.)

I hope everyone had a great holiday! Just wanted to do a quick update and say that I'm very nearly finished with college applications so I should have much more time to post outfits!

Here are a few things that I have been wanting to add to my winter wardrobe.

DIY: Harry Potter Stencil Shirt

I'm always looking for the perfect graphic tee. I love t-shirts with certain graphics but I can never find any affordable ones. Then I thought, why not make my own? So I decided to make a Harry Potter graphic t-shirt because I (like many others) am a Harry Potter fan.

Here's what you'll need:
Acrylic Paint or Fabric Paint
Paint Brushes or sponge
Plain t-shirt, tank, sweatshirt, hoodie, whatever you want
Thick paper
Utility Knife or Xacto Blade

First, find a graphic that you would like to put on a t-shirt. Make sure the graphic is easy enough to cut out and paint.

Trace the graphic on your paper and then use your utility knife to cut the shape. Whatever you cut out will be the part that shows the paint.

Lay your clothing item flat down. Make sure you pre-wash your clothing because the paint will stick to it better. Put the stencil on your clothing item and position it to your liking.

Stipple (basically blotting) the paint on the clothing item through the stencil. DO NOT spread the paint; it will not go onto your top evenly.

Let dry and take off the stencil.

And you're done!

Anyone excited to make some stencils now?

Haul: Urban Outfitters, H&M, Macys'

Hey everyone! I had a long weekend and I'm back today with a haul! There were a lot of great sales; anyone else find some deals? I went to Urban Outfitters on Friday and I went to downtown on Saturday. I don't often buy enough items for it to be worthy of being called a haul but I did this time!

This is a really nice, loosely knitted sweater from H&M. I love the black and blue combination! H&M was having a buy 1 get 1 free on knitwear. My mom ended up buying a sweater too.

H&M Sweater: $17.95 (Buy 1 get 1 free)

Here's the price tag in case you didn't believe me.

The details in the collar area of this dress is beautiful.

Material Girl Dress: $13.20

This is an asymmetrical top from Urban Outfitters. I would have liked it to be a regular t-shirt but, Urban decided to be fancy and make it half a tank and half a shirt. But I liked the color too much to pass up so I got it.

Urban Outfitters Top: $3.00

In case you are still doubting me.

A really nice quality body con skirt. A good staple to have.

Urban Outfitters Skirt: $5.00

You believe me now, don't you?

Some fun patterned leggings from Macys'.

American Rag Leggings: $4.20

Simple pair of black skinny jeans from H&M. I've been looking for a nice pair of black skinny jeans so this was a good find!

H&M Black Skinny Jeans: $8

I didn't actually buy this top, my mom gave it to me. It's perfect for the fall because of it's dark red color!

DKNY Top: Gift

Hope you enjoyed my haul!

OOTD: Collared Shirt and Black Cardigan

I went to an Urban Outfitters today and decided to take a few pictures of my outfit while I was in the dressing room. The pictures are of my actual outfit and not things that I was trying on. I ended up buying two things which I will probably be showing you in another post.

You can see the Mickey Mouse shirt that I was trying on off to the side.
I'm actually wearing a little cream headband but you can't really see it in the photos.

I really like the cuffs and the collar on this shirt; it's like color blocking!

I got these recently and I love them! They're collar tips that can be added to any collared shirt. It's a simple way to add the finishing touch to an outfit.

Black Cardigan: No brand (Thrifted)
Collared Shirt: No brand (Thrifted)
Stud Collar Tips: eBay
Cream Headband: Forever 21
Black Jeans: Forever 21
Loafer Flats: Target

Instagram

Here is another round of some photos that I have on Instagram!

This is a picture of a park that is part prairie.

This is one of the buildings in the Disney World Epcot World Showcase. It might be France but I'm not entirely sure. I went to Disney World over the summer and Epcot is the park that I always enjoy the most.

This is also in Disney World. When I went to Hollywood Studios I went on the Tower of Terror and this was next to the line.

This is a picture of the same park as above during a sunset.
